Position:   Seed Production Incharge Summary:   We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Seed Production Incharge / Production Manager to lead and manage end-to-end seed production operations. The role involves planning, execution, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and team management to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective production aligned with business targets and statutory norms. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of seed/agri-input production and the ability to drive operational excellence.   Key Responsibilities 1. Production Planning & Execution Develop and implement production plans based on demand forecasts and seasonal requirements Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials Monitor daily operations with batch-wise production tracking and output reporting Ensure optimal utilization of machinery, manpower, and materials 2. Quality Control & Compliance Ensure adherence to quality standards (ISO, BIS, FCO, CIBRC, Seed Act, etc.) Coordinate with QC/QA teams for in-process and final product testing Maintain batch records, traceability, and documentation Ensure compliance with all applicable industry laws and regulations 3. Regulatory & Safety Compliance Ensure compliance with factory rules, EHS norms, and statutory requirements Monitor safe handling, storage, and disposal of agrochemicals and hazardous materials Conduct regular safety audits and organize safety and SOP training programs 4. Team & Resource Management Supervise, train, and manage plant staff, supervisors, and machine operators Define KPIs for production teams and review performance periodically Maintain discipline, motivation, and safety culture across shifts 5. Cost & Efficiency Optimization Control wastage, minimize downtime, and improve productivity Implement lean manufacturing practices and 5S methodologies Coordinate with the maintenance team to reduce breakdowns and improve machine uptime 6.
