Analyze market quality data and customer feedback related to vehicle steering systems to identify recurring issues and root causes. Lead cross-functional quality investigations and coordinate corrective action plans with engineering, production, and supply chain teams. Develop and implement quality improvement strategies to reduce defect rates and enhance product reliability. Monitor and report on key quality metrics (e.g., field failure rates, warranty claims, NCRs) and provide actionable insights to senior management. Collaborate with suppliers and internal manufacturing units to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications. Support the development of new steering system designs by providing quality input during the design validation and testing phases. Maintain comprehensive documentation of quality incidents, resolutions, and lessons learned. Ensure compliance with ISO/TS 16949, IATF 16949, and other relevant automotive quality standards. Act as the primary liaison between customers, field service teams, and internal quality departments on quality-related concerns Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. 2–5 years of experience in automotive quality assurance, product quality, or field quality management, preferably in steering systems or powertrain components. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, Excel, SPSS) and statistical process control (SPC). In-depth knowledge of automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8D, PDCA). Experience with root cause analysis techniques and corrective action systems (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across departments. Familiarity with automotive manufacturing processes and supply chain dynamics.
