Position Overview:The Head of the GCC, India is responsible for building and scaling the organization’s India center as a multi-function, enterprise capability hub, delivering technology, digital, shared services, and core business capabilities for the global organization.The GCC will support and progressively expand capabilities across Technology & Digital, IT Infrastructure, Finance, Shared Services, Supply Chain, Design, HR, Real Estate, Architecture, Data & Analytics, and other enterprise functions.This role carries end-to-end accountability for GCC strategy, operations, talent, innovation, governance, and value realization. As a senior executive, the GCC Head will shape the center’s vision, operating model, and enterprise contribution, working closely with global functional leaders (such as CIO, CFO, Head of Human Capital, CDO and Business Heads).The role requires a leader who embodies the organization’s core values of customer obsession, ownership, excellence, collaboration, integrity, innovation, and humility, while building a strong culture that aligns the India GCC with the organization’s global strategy and long-term growth ambitions.Key Responsibilities:1. Enterprise & GCC Strategy- Define and execute a long-term, multi-function GCC strategy aligned with global business and functional objectives. - Evolve the GCC from a technology-led center to an enterprise capability and transformation hub. - Establish the GCC as the global owner for selected end-to-end processes, accountable for standardization, continuous improvement, controls, and performance across geographies. - Identify opportunities for capability expansion, process ownership, automation, and enterprise-wide value creation. - Act as a strategic advisor to global leadership on operating model evolution, transformation programs, and GCC maturity.2. Talent Leadership & Culture Development- Attract, develop, and retain world-class talent across technology, finance, shared services, supply chain, and operations domains. - Build functional leadership layers within the GCC to support scale and complexity. - Establish partnerships with local academic institutions for early-career and campus hiring pipelines. - Promote diversity, equity, inclusion, learning agility, and capability development across all employee levels. - Embed a culture of ownership, accountability, and enterprise mindset, aligned with the organization’s values.3. Operational Excellence & Delivery- Ensure high-quality, scalable delivery across multiple functions, supported by strong governance and controls. - Create enterprise-level transparency through standardized service catalogs, cost-to-serve models, and performance dashboards providing clear visibility to global stakeholders. - Establish and manage SLAs, KPIs, and outcome-based performance measures across teams. - Ensure adherence to global processes, local regulatory frameworks, and enterprise policies.4. Global Stakeholder Collaboration- Build strong relationships with global functional leaders and business stakeholders. - Own end-to-end transition governance, including migration planning, risk mitigation, knowledge transfer, and stakeholder change management, ensuring minimal business disruption and sustained performance. - Navigate complex matrix/helix structures and ensure cross-geography alignment. - Lead transitions of work into the GCC with effective change management, communication, and risk controls.5. Innovation, Digital & Enterprise Transformation- Establish and scale Centers of Excellence (CoEs) in AI, data, cloud, cybersecurity, engineering, and emerging technologies. - Enable cross-functional transformation by combining technology, data, and process re-engineering across Finance, Supply Chain, HR, Shared Services, etc. - Lead the development of next-generation digital platforms and enterprise solutions. - Drive the GCC’s evolution from delivery execution to innovation, and enterprise transformation operations.6. Risk, Compliance & Governance- Ensure adherence to global risk, regulatory, data privacy, and compliance standards. - Build strong governance frameworks to mitigate operational, financial, and reputational risk. - Provide strong on-the-ground leadership to manage global-local dynamics and conflict resolution.7. Financial Management- Own the India GCC P&L, including workforce planning, productivity, and cost optimization. - Drive measurable cost efficiency through process standardization, automation, optimal task allocation, and span of control, while maintaining service quality and scalability. - Balance cost efficiency with capability depth, quality, scalability, and innovation. - Track and demonstrate value realization and ROI beyond cost arbitrage (quality, speed, risk reduction).Qualifications:- Demonstrated experience building GCCs from early or mid-maturity to advanced enterprise scale, with the ability to challenge legacy operating models and drive enterprise alignment. - Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Information Technology, Finance, Operations, or a related field. - 15+ years of experience in global operations, technology, shared services, finance operations, or GCC leadership roles, preferably with global matrix organizations. - Proven track record in building and scaling large, multi-function teams and managing complex delivery environments. - Strong background in enterprise strategy, transformation, operating model design, and stakeholder management. - Excellent communication, executive presence, and cross-cultural leadership skills. - Experience leading global programs or holding global accountability roles preferred. - High level of integrity, professionalism, and customer orientation.Success Measures:- Contribution of the India GCC to global business and functional outcomes. - Successful onboarding and scaling of new functions into the GCC. - Speed, quality, and consistency of delivery. - Talent development, leadership depth, and retention. - Innovation output and adoption across the enterprise. - Strength and effectiveness of global stakeholder relationships.
