Find out more about us at and Objective (The purpose of role in current business/market scenario):We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up a Microsoft Fabric environment and creating datasets using ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes. This role requires a strong understanding of data engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Responsibilities (KRAs / deliverables / job expectations):- Design, implement, and maintain a Microsoft Fabric environment to support data analytics initiatives. Including Building Power BI reports. - Develop and manage ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse. - Create and maintain datasets that are optimised for performance and scalability. - Collaborate with analysts and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs. - Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing best practices for data governance and management. - Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure seamless data flow and timely availability of data.Academic qualification:- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Diploma of higher education or equivalentExperience (exposure):- 6+ Years of related experience in Data Engineering or in a similar role. - Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric (or similar system) and ETL processes. - Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS. - Understanding of machine learning concepts and techniques.Key attributes (critical functional competencies):- Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and analytics. - Strict adherence to Policies and Procedures. - Proficiency in SQL and experience with data warehousing concepts. - Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.Competencies (fundamental skills and attitudes):- Excellent problem-solving skills. - Attention to detail. - Strong communication and collaboration skills. - Independent thinker. - Strong quality orientation. - Strong learner and risk taker.
