Our mission is to make irrigation, fertigation, and farm intelligence reliable, scalable, and data-driven across thousands of acres.Role OverviewWe are looking for a Firmware Engineering Head who will own device behavior end-to-end and ensure firmware is safe, reliable, upgradeable, and field-ready for harsh agricultural environments.This is a hands-on leadership role, not a managerial-only position.Key Responsibilities- Own firmware architecture (RTOS/bare-metal, task design, state machines) - Define and own OTA update strategy, bootloader, rollback & recovery - Ensure fail-safe behavior under power loss, network failure, and sensor faults - Lead firmware bring-up on custom hardware and support PCB validation - Define device lifecycle, versioning, and compatibility rules - Work closely with hardware and systems engineers on device ↔ cloud contracts - Mentor firmware engineers and enforce coding & reliability standards - Ensure devices remain stable in long-term, unattended field deploymentsRequired Experience- 8–12+ years in embedded firmware development - Strong expertise in Embedded C - Hands-on experience with MCUs (STM32 / NXP / TI / ESP32 or similar) - RTOS experience (Free RTOS or equivalent) - Proven experience implementing OTA firmware updates - Experience shipping and supporting field-deployed IoT or industrial devices - Strong debugging skills on real hardwarePreferred Experience- GSM / LTE / LoRa / Wi-Fi based devices - Low-power embedded systems - Industrial, outdoor, or automation products - Leading small firmware teams - Safety-critical or mission-critical systems
