About the RoleWe are seeking a seasoned Corporate Legal professional to manage end-to-end legal functions across contracts, litigation, compliance, IPR, property, advisory, and M&A for CUMI and its subsidiaries/JVs.Key ResponsibilitiesContract Management- Manage the complete contract lifecycle using CMS tools (Komrisk) - Vet contracts and coordinate execution, renewals, amendments, and MIS reporting - Maintain and update standard templates (NDAs, dealer, employment, vendor agreements) - Conduct contract audits, risk assessments, user training, and system enhancementsLitigation Management- Manage litigations in India and overseas through external counsel - Coordinate with law firms, senior counsels, and internal stakeholders - Draft/review pleadings and ensure timely representation and reporting - Handle HR-related litigations - Support asset attachment proceedings (ABJ orders) in high-value mattersIPR Management- Manage trademarks, patents, designs, and copyrights - Oversee registrations, renewals, and brand protection initiatives - Monitor infringements and manage enforcement actions in India and overseasCompliance Management- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance for listed entities and group companies - Conduct legal audits for manufacturing plants - Support evolving regulatory and governance initiativesProperty Management- Handle immovable property matters including acquisition, title due diligence, registration, mortgage, release, and disposal - Liaise with statutory authorities and external agenciesAdvisory & Liaisoning- Advise plants and business teams on employment laws, compliance, expansion, and closures - Represent the company before regulatory and government authorities - Handle fraud, whistle-blower complaints, spurious product cases, and investigationsMergers & Acquisitions- Conduct legal due diligence and risk assessments - Draft and negotiate transaction documents - Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external M&A counselKnowledge, Data & People Development- Manage legal documentation and data (digital and physical) - Conduct legal awareness programs and training sessions - Support legal metrology, label approvals, and compliance educationIdeal Profile- 6–8+ years of experience in a corporate legal or in-house role - Strong exposure to contracts, litigation, and compliance - Experience in manufacturing and/or listed companies preferred - Hands-on, commercially oriented, and comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders
