The ideal candidate will play a key role in PoC development, system design, and backend architecture while collaborating with cross-functional global teams.Key Responsibilities- Take ownership with a high level of autonomy and self-sufficiency - Contribute significantly to a new greenfield project, including PoC development and system design - Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java and Python - Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams and other Turing engineers - Design and implement robust APIs and database solutions - Create, maintain, and update technical documentation related to development processes and systems - Ensure high-quality code, performance optimization, and best engineering practicesJob Requirements- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience - 7+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer - 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot - 4+ years of experience working with Python - 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure and SQL Databases - Strong experience in database design, API design, and implementation - Experience working on system design, microservices, and scalable architectures - Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)Good to Have- Experience working on enterprise-scale or greenfield projects - Exposure to cloud-native architectures - Experience collaborating with distributed/global teams
