For more details, please visit Role OverviewThe Bio-Engineering Specialist will provide technical expertise in the planning, design, and implementation of bio-engineering and nature-based engineering solutions to reduce landslide and erosion risks in hilly and geologically sensitive terrain, supporting long-term slope stability and resilience.Roles and Responsibilities:- Overall responsibility for technical planning, design support, and supervision of bio-engineering techniques for slope stabilization and erosion control. - Analyse site conditions, including slope geometry, soil characteristics, and drainage patterns, to determine suitable bio-engineering interventions in combination with structural measures. - Provide technical guidance during field implementation to ensure correct application, stability, and long-term performance of bio-engineering works.Locations: Patna, Kohima, Shimla, Agartala, Shillong, Itanagar, Imphal, Aizawl, Gangtok, Lucknow, Dehradun, DispurEducational Qualifications:- Master’s in Forestry/Bioengineering/Related subjects.Skills and Experience:- Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in the field. - Experience of working on at least one externally funded project (such as ADB, AFD, WBG, etc.) - Prior work experience across Himalayan regions with exposure to multiple hazards in India, Nepal, Bhutan etc.Interested candidates may send their CVs along with a cover letter to career-ccs@ with the subject line: Name- Position Applying For- Years of Experience.
