Job DescriptionResponsible for payroll administration for seafarers and ensures that payroll activities are performed timely and accurately. Follow timely handling of seafarers’ reimbursements and responsible for cash to masterJob Responsibilities- Compliant with payroll manual and wage matrix - Understand accounts, calculations, OFAC verification and allotments for accurate payroll performance - Report any payroll related issues to line manager and follow up till closure - Responsible for timely payroll processing/ approvals of allotments - Communicate with vessels, seafarers, manning offices and company accounts for payroll activities - Provide support to seafarers for usage of My Wallem Compas for payroll/claims - Keep track of outstanding payroll and final balance of wages for amicable closure - Arrange Cash to Master - Monitor instances of negative balance of wages and escalation to line manager - Utilize knowledge of ship, owner, collective bargaining agreement, wage scales for effective payroll administration - Support the requirement to timely accrue cost commitments to avoid liability to the Company - Responsible for timely processing of seafarers’ wages and claims - Escalate seafarers’ grievances to line manager - Deliver performance as per job specific KPI’sJob Requirements- Minimum 5-7 years' experience in similar position - Bachelor's Degree or Degree in Maritime / Logistic or related disciplines - Good Knowledge of payroll manual and wage matrix - Effective communicator with a good command of English
