The role involves owning system scalability, performance, and reliability, mentoring engineers, and driving long-term technical improvements while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.Responsibilities:Technical Leadership & DevelopmentLead the design, development, and evolution of backend systems using Elixir and PhoenixTake ownership of technical architecture, scalability, performance, and reliability decisionsDrive technical discussions, brainstorming sessions, and solution designOwn delivery of complex features end-to-end, from planning to productionPlatform Maintenance & ImprovementSupport and maintain the existing platform built using Ruby and Ember.jsDrive gradual refactoring and technical improvements in legacy systemsProactively identify technical risks and propose long-term improvementsCode Quality & Best PracticesWrite high-quality, well-tested, and maintainable codeReview code and enforce engineering best practices across the teamSet coding standards and ensure adherence to clean architecture principlesMentorship & CollaborationMentor, guide, and grow engineers through hands-on technical leadershipHelp team members grow by sharing knowledge and best practicesCollaborate closely with product, business, and client-facing teamsProduction & DeliverySupport production issues and ensure system stabilityEnsure smooth releases and overall system reliabilityTake accountability for system health and uptimeTechnical Skills:7+ years of software development experienceActive hands-on experience with Elixir and PhoenixSome hands-on experience with Ruby (Ruby on Rails preferred)Writes clean, high-quality, and maintainable codeSoft Skills We Value:Proactive, dependable, and trustworthyStrong team player and technical leaderHelps team members grow and mentors othersOpen to feedback and continuous improvementEnjoys brainstorming and problem-solvingIf Intrested.
