Cybersecurity Intern, MutaEngine Stipend 35,000 INR per month, Remote work mode, Duration 8 months, Experience 0 to 1 year, PPO up to INR 22 LPA annuallyJob Description We are looking for a Cybersecurity Intern who is curious about how real world attacks happen and how systems can be defended against them. This role provides practical exposure to application security, network security, vulnerability assessment, and threat analysis in live environments.Responsibilities Assist in identifying security vulnerabilities in web applications, APIs, and desktop applications through testing and analysis. Work with tools related to vulnerability assessment, traffic inspection, and security monitoring. Perform basic penetration testing tasks under guidance and document findings clearly. Analyze logs, suspicious activities, and security alerts to understand potential threats. Research attack techniques such as reverse engineering, code tampering, and exploitation methods. Create security documentation, reports, and internal security guidelines. Collaborate with development teams to understand secure coding practices and common implementation mistakes.Requirements Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP IP, DNS, HTTP, HTTPS, and firewalls. Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems from a security perspective. Understanding of common web vulnerabilities such as SQL injection, XSS, CSRF, and authentication issues. Awareness of tools such as Wireshark, Burp Suite, Nmap, or similar security tools. Interest in learning reverse engineering, code protection, and software security. Ability to write clear documentation and explain findings in simple language.
