We strive to provide rapid, performance-based, industry-focused, and technology-enabled services, which reflect a shared knowledge of global and local industries and our experience of the Indian business environment.About the RoleWe are seeking a D365 Finance & Operations (F&O) functional specialist with deep expertise in Advanced Warehouse Management (AWM) to lead end-to-end solution design, implementation, and optimization for complex warehouse operations. You’ll partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to deliver scalable, high‑adoption solutions across inbound, outbound, inventory, and execution processes.Key ResponsibilitiesSolution Design & DeliveryLead workshops to map current/future-state warehouse processes (receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking, packing, loading, cycle counting, inventory status changes).Configure AWM: wave templates, work templates, location directives, mobile device menus, reservation hierarchies, unit sequence groups, batch/serial tracking, license plates.Define and test Integration patterns with handheld devices (WHS mobile), label printing (ZPL), TMS, EDI, 3PL, scale systems, and Power Platform apps.Implementation LifecycleOwn functional deliverables: BRD/FDD, process maps, test scripts, cutover plans, training materials.Drive CRP/UAT, defect triage, performance checks, and go-live readiness.Support data migration for warehouse entities (locations, LPs, items, on-hand, ASN/shipments).Operations & Continuous ImprovementAnalyze KPIs (throughput, pick accuracy, dock-to-stock, inventory accuracy) and recommend improvements.Optimize workload balancing, cluster picking, wave labels, zone/aisle slotting, cycle count planning.Partner with business for SOP alignment and change management; deliver end-user training.GovernanceEnsure compliance with internal controls, audit, and master data standards.Collaborate with Dev teams on extensions (X++), dual-write, and Dataverse scenarios.Required QualificationsMinimum 6 years of D365 F&O / AX functional experience with at least 2+ end-to-end implementations focused on Advanced Warehouse Management.Hands-on configuration expertise:Location directives, work templates, wave setups, replenishment, reservation hierarchiesMobile device menus, steps, and warehouse app flowsLicense plate tracking, batch/serial, catch-weight (nice to have)Quality management integrations within warehouse workflowsStrong knowledge of end-to-end Supply Chain flows: inbound (PO/ASN), outbound (SO/TO), cross-docking, returns, cycle counting, physical inventory.Experience with UAT, cutover, go-live, hypercare, and post-go-live stabilization.Excellent communication, workshop facilitation, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.Preferred / Nice-to-HaveExperience with D365 TMS, dock appointment scheduling, load planning, and freight reconciliation.Label printing (ZPL/EPL), GS1 barcode standards, and advanced label layouts (wave/pack).Performance tuning and troubleshooting WHS queues & work execution.Familiarity with Power BI warehouse dashboards and Power Automate for workflow automation.Experience in manufacturing + warehouse scenarios (raw/finished goods flows, Kanban).Certifications: MB-330 (SCM), MB-300, or equivalent.Exposure to global rollouts, multi-site/multi-company configurations, and regulatory compliance.Key CompetenciesBusiness acumen in warehousing and logisticsStructured problem-solving and process re-engineeringOwnership mindset with customer empathyClear, concise documentation and training deliveryCollaboration with Technical, QA, and Change teamsEducationBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)KPMG India has a policy of providing equal opportunity for all applicants and employees regardless of their color, caste, religion, age, sex/gender, national origin, citizenship, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability or other legally protected status.
