In this role, the Tax Senior Associate will act as the main contact for general questions and information and may be charged with supervising and reviewing the work of Core Tax Services Associates.Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other relevant field required Master’s degree in accounting beneficial, master’s degree in taxation preferredExperience 3 to 7 years of prior experience in 1065 RRE/Operating Partnership Experience on partnership Taxation, 1065 RE Tax return preparation and review, Form 8825. Experience to go through rental financial statements and determine book to tax adjustments (accruals, straight line rent, etc.) Experience on real estate transactions like 1031 exchanges, gain allocations. Understand 743 basis adjustments and Partner Allocations. Understands partnerships agreements and allocations Strong with fixed assets and depreciation Prior basic supervisory experience preferred. Identify the open items and communicate with managers.Software Experience with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook), and Adobe Acrobat Experience with tax research databases such as BNA and RIA Proficient in all tax compliance process software including GoFileRoom, GoSystemRS, Caseware, BNA Depreciation Software, or comparable programs and standard tax workpapersOther Knowledge, Skills & Abilities • Superior verbal and written communication skills • Ability to effectively delegate work as needed • Strong analytical, research and critical thinking skills as well as decision-making skills • Capacity to work well in a team environment • Capable of effectively developing and maintaining relationships
