We partner with importers, distributors, retailers, and institutional buyers to scale AOKI’s international footprint through strong channel partnerships, reliable supply, and a customer-first brand experience.Role Overview The International Business Development Lead will own AOKI’sexport market expansionby building and converting a pipeline ofimporters/distributors/retail partnersacross priority geographies. This is a high-ownership role responsible forlead generation, partner acquisition, negotiations, onboarding, and early account growth , working closely with the founders and internal cross-functional teams.Key Responsibilities1) Export Strategy & Market Prioritisation Identify and prioritise target geographies based on demand, price bands, competition, channel structures, and compliance requirements. Build a structured expansion plan: target partner profiles, outreach strategy, and quarterly pipeline goals.2) Lead Generation & Partner Acquisition Source and qualify prospects: importers, distributors, specialty retailers, large-format chains, and institutional/fleet buyers. Run outbound efforts across email/LinkedIn/calls and manage follow-ups to drive meetings and conversions. Build and maintain a partner pipeline in CRM with clear stages, next steps, and forecasted conversion.3) Distributor/Partner Engagement & Negotiation Lead commercial discussions: pricing, MOQs, margin structures, credit/payment terms, warranties, and after-sales expectations. Align on go-to-market plans with partners: launch plan, inventory planning, service readiness, and marketing support.4) Export Operations Coordination (Cross-functional) Coordinate internal alignment for export execution: product specs, packaging, documentation, HS codes, certifications, lead times, and logistics (Incoterms). Work with supply chain/finance teams to ensure smooth order processing and predictable deliveries.5) Account Development & Repeat Orders Drive partner success post-onboarding—support early sell-through and enable repeat orders. Monitor partner performance: reorder cycles, product mix, market feedback, and service issues.6) Trade Fairs & International Outreach Represent AOKI at international trade fairs and distributor meets. Manage pre-event meeting booking, follow-ups, and conversion into channel partnerships.7) Reporting & GovernanceWeekly/Monthly reporting on pipeline health: leads, meetings, qualified opportunities, closures, and revenue forecast. Provide market intelligence on competitor pricing, product gaps, and channel trends.Candidate Profile (Must Have)5+ yearsexperience ininternational sales / export business development , with a track record of closing channel partners. Experience inAutomobile / Auto-components / EV / FMCGwith a distribution-led sales model. Strong commercial acumen: pricing structures, distributor economics, margins, basic Incoterms/payment terms. Excellent communication (written + verbal) and stakeholder management across cultures and time zones. Comfortable with CRMs (HubSpot/Zoho/Salesforce) and structured pipeline reporting. Willingness to travel internationally.
