Maintenance & Monitoring : Perform regular upgrades, updates, security patches, and performance monitoring to prevent downtime. Security : Implement security measures, manage firewalls, antivirus, user permissions, and conduct security testing Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for both systems and end-users. User Support : Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and provide technical assistance to employees. Backup & Recovery : Plan and execute data backup strategies and disaster recovery measures. Documentation : Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and policies. Research : Stay updated on emerging technologies to recommend improvements.Essential Skills & Qualifications (Typical) Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role. Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows Server, Linux, macOS). Proficiency with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V). Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, Bash). Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Relevant certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) are beneficial.
