We are hiring! Alliance Française of Madras is looking for experienced French Professors!About us: The Alliance Française of Madras (AFM) promotes cultural relations between India and France in Tamil Nadu. Founded in 1953, it is an affiliate of the Paris-based Fondation Alliance Française. The Alliance Française network is present in over 135 countries on five continents. The AFM, supported by the French Embassy and the French Institute in India, aims to spread the French language in the city of Chennai and in the other regions of Tamil Nadu, and to bring together all those who wish to contribute to developing knowledge and appreciation of the French language and culture. The Alliance is also an imminent player in local cultural life.The responsibilities include: We are looking for teachers who are available to work onsite on weekends, especially during evenings ● To teach French courses ● Propose workshops, student activities, prepare materials and conduct the sameQualifications: ● DELF B2/C1 minimum with the intent to take DALF C2 ● Availability during weekend evenings, highly preferred ● Strong interest in the French language and Francophone cultures ● Experienced in working with kids & teens ● Excellent communication skillsJoining the Alliance Française of Madras teaching team also means continued access to excellent training courses organized by the cultural and linguistic cooperation network of the French Embassy and the AF network in India.
