Job Title: Embedded Hardware ArchitectThe Embedded Hardware Architect is responsible to lead the design, development, and optimization of embedded hardware platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in embedded systems, board-level design, microcontrollers/processors, high‑speed interfaces, and system architecture. This role requires close collaboration with cross‑functional teams including firmware, software, product management, and manufacturing.Key Roles & Responsibilities Architecture & System Design Define the overall hardware architecture for embedded systems, including component selection, block diagrams, power design, and high‑level system requirements. The architecture should be scalable, upgradeable, and test‑oriented. Translate product requirements into scalable, reliable, and cost‑optimized hardware platforms. Lead feasibility studies, technology evaluations, and proof‑of‑concept designs. Hardware Development Design schematics and oversee PCB layout for complex multi‑layer boards. Requirements gathering, Architecture and high-level block diagram design Interface requirements & design aspects of Architecture Integrate MCUs, MPUs, FPGAs, sensors, memory, RF modules, and communication interfaces. Conduct signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal analysis. Ensure compliance with EMI/EMC, safety, and regulatory standards. Technical Leadership Guide hardware engineering teams in best practices and architectural decisions. Perform design reviews for schematics, layouts, and test plans. Mentor junior engineers and support cross‑disciplinary collaboration. Design documentation based on regulatory Testing & Validation Develop hardware validation strategies, test plans, and bring‑up procedures. Board and system-level testing, Design validation and integration testing Oversee debugging of hardware issues through tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analysers, JTAG, etc. Ensure product quality through rigorous verification, reliability testing, and DFM/DFT practices. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Work with firmware/software teams to ensure seamless hardware-software integration. Collaborate with manufacturing partners for prototyping, production readiness, and cost optimization. Support supply-chain teams in component selection and lifecycle management.Required Skills Strong knowledge of: Microcontrollers, SoCs, FPGAs Communication interfaces (SPI, I²C, UART, CAN, USB, Ethernet, PCIe, etc.) Expertise in power supply design including SMPS, DC/DC, PMICs, Battery operated-BMS High‑speed board design and layout constraints Analog/digital circuit design EMI/EMC compliance testing Proficiency with EDA tools (Altium, OrCAD, KiCad, Cadence Allegro).
