This role is not focused on developing individual solutions, but rather onowning the platform , enabling use case teams, and ensuring enterprise-wide adoption, compliance, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise across all Microsoft Fabric workloads and will be responsible for driving platform strategy, onboarding teams, enforcing standards, and maintaining platform health, security, and governance.Key Responsibilities Platform Ownership & Enablement Own and manage theMicrosoft Fabric platformacross all domains, includingOneLake ,Lakehouses ,Pipelines ,Notebooks ,Power BI ,Data Activator , andReal-Time Analytics . Set up and maintainworkspaces ,capacities ,domains , andgatewaysto support scalable and secure analytics across the organization. Driveplatform adoptionby onboarding use case teams, guiding them through architecture patterns, and ensuring alignment with enterprise standards. Governance & Compliance Define and enforceplatform governance policies , includingdata lineage ,access control ,naming conventions ,workspace standards , andsecurity protocols . Collaborate with enterprise security and compliance teams to ensuredata privacy ,audit readiness , andregulatory compliance . Implement and manageUnity Catalogor equivalent governance frameworks for metadata management and data stewardship. Monitoring & Optimization Set up and maintainplatform health monitoring ,capacity utilization dashboards , andalerting mechanisms . Conduct regularaudits ,spot checks , andperformance reviewsto ensure platform reliability and efficiency. Drivecost optimizationstrategies across compute, storage, and licensing. Cross-Team Collaboration & Guidance Act as thecentral point of contactfor all teams using Microsoft Fabric, providing architectural guidance, onboarding support, and technical enablement. Develop and maintaintechnical documentation , includingplatform standards ,best practices ,operational playbooks , andtraining materials . Facilitate workshops, office hours, and enablement sessions to educate teams on Fabric capabilities and usage patterns. Innovation & Strategic Leadership Stay current with Microsoft Fabric roadmap and proactively evaluate new features for enterprise adoption. LeadProof of Concepts (PoCs)and pilot programs to validate platform enhancements and integrations. Contribute to enterprise data strategy by aligning Fabric platform capabilities with business goals and IT roadmap.Required Skills & Qualifications Proven experience inMicrosoft Fabric platform architecture and administration . Deep understanding of all Fabric workloads:Data Engineering ,Power BI ,Real-Time Analytics ,Data Activator , andOneLake . Strong background inplatform governance ,security ,data lineage , andcompliance . Experience managingmulti-domain data mesh architecturesand decentralized data ownership models. Proficiency inAzure ,Power Platform ,DevOps , andenterprise monitoring tools . Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.Preferred Qualifications Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate or equivalent. Experience in managing platforms in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, finance).
