This role is a blend of people leadership, technical ownership, and cross-functional collaboration. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, scalable, and user-centric frontend experiences across web and mobile platforms.Key ResponsibilitiesPeople & Team Leadership- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of frontend engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, quality, and continuous improvement - Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning - Support hiring, onboarding, and team capacity planning-Technical & Delivery Ownership- Own frontend architecture, design decisions, and technical standards - Drive best practices around code quality, performance, accessibility, and security - Collaborate with backend, mobile, QA, product, and design teams to deliver end-to-end features - Ensure predictable delivery through sprint planning, estimation, and execution-Product & Stakeholder Collaboration- Partner closely with Product Managers and Designers to translate business requirements into technical solutions - Balance the speed of delivery with long-term maintainability and scalability - Provide technical input into product roadmaps and prioritisation-Operational Excellence- Improve development processes, CI/CD pipelines, and release practices - Monitor frontend performance, reliability, and user experience in production - Actively participate in incident resolution and root-cause analysisRequired Qualifications- 10+ years of software development experience, with 3+ years in an engineering management or tech-lead role - Strong hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks (Angular, React, Next.js, React Native, or similar) - Solid understanding of frontend architecture, state management, performance optimisation, and responsive design - Experience working in agile / scrum environments - Proven ability to lead and scale high-performing engineering teamsPreferred Qualifications- Experience building consumer-facing or healthcare products - Exposure to mobile frontend technologies (React Native is a plus) - Familiarity with cloud environments and modern DevOps practices - Experience working with distributed or remote teams - Leverage AI tools to enhance frontend observability, performance optimization, and debugging like Copilot, Cursor etc
