Location: MumbaiPosition OverviewReporting to the Technical Support Manager, the IT Support Technician will play a key role in delivering high-touch, responsive IT support. This role is the first point of contact for IT support and requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, is service-oriented, and communicates clearly with users at all levels of the organization.The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes ownership of support quality and collaborates effectively.Key Responsibilities- Manage, prioritise, and respond to onsite and remote IT support requests with urgency, including off-hours support when required - Serve as a lead support contact for the Mumbai offices - Provide timely updates to users and IT staff regarding issue status and resolutions - Identify recurring technical issues and work toward permanent solutions - Administer and configure Windows computers, smartphones, tablets, IP phones, and other end-user hardware - Maintain accurate system documentation and equipment inventory - Take a proactive approach to improving services and productivity through technology - Apply systems analysis techniques, consulting with users to determine hardware, software, or system requirements - Support a wide range of end-user software, database applications, and SaaS platforms - Participate in data center work, office relocations, and server room build-outs - Assist with ad-hoc IT projects as neededQualifications & Experience- Able to work on-site 6 days a week – Monday to Saturday - Must have solid experience working within financial services - Excellent communication skills with a strong customer service mindset - Four-year degree or equivalent relevant technical experience - 3+ years of hands-on, job-related IT support experience - Advanced knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating systems and Office applications - Experience supporting Microsoft environments (Windows, Office, Windows Server) - Strong experience with: Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, user profiles, Imaging software and file/security permissions, Desktop firewall and anti-virus/malware technologies - Solid understanding of networking concepts and technologies, including: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, LAN, WAN, wireless, VPN - Experience supporting mobile platforms and MDM solutions (e.g., MobileIron, AirWatch, iOS devices) - Exposure to virtualization technologies such as VMware ESX and vCenter (preferred) - Familiarity with or willingness to learn: Cisco IOS, Palo Alto Firewalls - Experience supporting telecommunications and video conferencing systems; knowledge of IP telephony and Cisco UC systems is a plus.Pro4orm People Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
