Job SummaryThe Data Center MEP & Infrastructure Lead is responsible for end-to-end ownership of physical infrastructure across large-scale data center campuses. This role oversees mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), HVAC, cooling, and power systems, ensuring high availability, reliability, scalability, and compliance with industry standards.The position plays a critical role from site selection and design through construction, commissioning, and ongoing operations, collaborating closely with internal engineering teams and external vendors to deliver world-class data center solutions.Key Responsibilities- Lead MEP design from scratch for large-scale data center projects, from concept and feasibility through detailed design and construction - Plan, manage, and oversee installation, testing, and maintenance of critical infrastructure including power, cooling, HVAC, plumbing, and building systems - Review and approve MEP drawings, technical proposals, and design packages, ensuring seamless integration across power, cooling, networking, and construction disciplines - Drive infrastructure readiness from early design stages through commissioning, pilot testing, and full operational handover - Manage vendor selection, procurement, and installation of critical equipment such as UPS systems, generators, chillers, cooling distribution units (CDUs), and switchgear - Ensure compliance with safety regulations, local codes, and industry standards (Uptime Institute, ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.) - Provide technical leadership and mentorship to internal teams while building strong, long-term vendor and contractor relationships - Develop and improve operational workflows, maintenance strategies, and project management processes to support scalability and efficiency - Support long-term infrastructure strategy, capacity planning, and continuous improvement initiatives across data center operationsKey Skills & Competencies- Deep expertise in MEP systems with strong hands-on experience in data center environments - Proven ability to design, operate, and maintain mission-critical infrastructure - Strong understanding of power and cooling architectures for large-scale data centers - Excellent project management, vendor management, and stakeholder communication skills - Ability to lead cross-functional teams in complex, fast-paced environments - Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on reliability, efficiency, and scalabilityEducation & Certifications- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Facilities Management - Professional certifications in HVAC, MEP, or data center design (preferred)Experience Requirements- 15+ years of experience in data center design, construction, operations, and maintenance - Demonstrated leadership of large-scale data center or campus-level projects - Practical experience delivering transformative infrastructure initiatives is highly desirable
