It ensures the right products are surfaced to the right users at the right moments to maximise engagement, conversion, and revenue.Your RoleWe are seeking a dynamic leader with a strong growth and ownership mindset to lead the Central In-app Events & Merchandising team. This role is critical in enhancing customer experience and driving top-of-the-funnel traffic to grow categories and platform priorities through:- Defining and executing the right in-app merchandising strategy - Planning and executing events around marquee occasions and festivals (e.g., Diwali, Rakshabandhan), as well as creating inorganic events such as Black Friday Sale, Supersonic Sale, and category-led sale eventsThe ideal candidate brings deep experience in e-commerce growth and merchandising, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to navigate ambiguity while driving strong executionKey Responsibilities:Platform & Category Events’ Planning and Execution:- Lead a large execution team to plan and deliver events and promotions that drive customer engagement and revenue - Partner closely with category and planning teams to define the right assortment and inventory bets for the event calendar across core and delight assortments - Govern timely availability of inventory well in advance of events - Identify key event marketing hooks and define the right communication strategy in collaboration with Branding, Category, and Product teams - Orchestrate the end-to-end customer experience across Homepage, Search, Recommendations, Cart, CRM, social media, event sunrise, and off-app campaigns - Monitor and analyse event performance, extract insights, and drive continuous improvementIn-App Merchandising:- Create and govern the impressions plan in coordination with central and category teams, ensuring consistent delivery - Develop and execute in-app merchandising strategies to optimise product impressions, conversion, and revenue - Curate and maintain engaging, visually compelling storefronts and product displays - Collaborate with Design and Product teams to ensure a cohesive and differentiated visual identity across the platformTraffic Generation through Off-App Initiatives:- Develop and execute off-app marketing initiatives to drive traffic to the app and improve category visibility - Partner with the central marketing team to leverage channels such as social media, CRM, and strategic partnerships.What We’re Looking For- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field - 7–10 years of experience in high-impact roles, with at least 3+ years in e-commerce revenue, growth, or merchandising role - A combination of top-tier consulting (MBBK) and Consumer Tech experience is a strong plus - Proven success in building and executing large-scale merchandising and event strategies - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven decision-making approach - Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills - Creative thinker with strong attention to detail and visual merchandising sensibilities - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with high ownership - Strong organisational and program management capabilities - Proficiency with merchandising, experimentation, and analytics toolsWhy Join Us?- Zepto is on a blitzscaling path unlike any other startup today.
