You will focus on execution, escalation, and continuous improvement across Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, and supporting services, playing a key role in day‑to‑day operations, documentation, and US‑hours escalation support.Key responsibilitiesAs an MSP System Administrator / Engineer, you will:- Administer and support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive, handling user lifecycle, access, configuration, and troubleshooting. - Perform Day‑2 operational support in Azure, including core services such as virtual machines, storage, networking, and identity integrations, escalating design or high‑risk changes through IT leadership. - Support Intune‑managed devices (Windows and other platforms), troubleshooting enrollment, compliance, policy, application deployment, and security‑related issues for already‑onboarded endpoints. - Participate as an escalation layer above helpdesk, resolving advanced incidents and requests, and ensuring clear communication and handoffs across teams. - Collaborate with SOC and compliance teams on identity, security, and governance escalations, ensuring that changes align with policies, standards, and audit requirements. - Operate within Privileged Identity Management (PIM) processes for administrative access, following least‑privilege principles, just‑in‑time elevation, and approval workflows. - Contribute to architectural and design discussions with IT leadership and SOC, bringing practical operational insights while respecting governance and decision‑making structures. - Create, maintain, and improve documentation and SOPs, including runbooks, standard changes, and troubleshooting guides used by support and operations teams. - Support change management processes in compliance‑sensitive environments, including impact assessment, risk identification, approvals, test planning, and rollback procedures. - Provide escalation support during US business hours, coordinating with global teams to ensure effective follow‑the‑sun coverage and high service quality. - Monitor key systems, respond to alerts, and proactively identify opportunities to improve reliability, security, and user experience. - Communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, translating complex issues into actionable next steps and recommendations.What you will bringYou will be successful in this role if you bring:- 4–8 years of hands‑on experience in system administration or IT engineering roles, ideally within an MSP or multi‑tenant environment. - Solid experience administering Microsoft 365 in production (Exchange Online, Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint/OneDrive, licensing, security and compliance configurations). - Practical exposure to Azure operations (VMs, storage, networking, identity integrations, basic security baselines) and comfort working within defined architectures. - Experience supporting Intune or similar endpoint management platforms for Day‑2 operations (compliance, policies, application deployment, security baselines). - Familiarity with Azure SQL or SQL Server administration at an operational level (backups, connectivity, permissions, performance basics), with awareness of when to escalate to specialists. - Strong understanding of identity and access management concepts, including Conditional Access, MFA, role‑based access control, and privileged access management. - Proven experience working within change management, approval‑based governance, and/or regulated or compliance‑sensitive environments. - Demonstrated ability to create and maintain clear, usable documentation and SOPs that support team operations and decision‑making. - Prior experience supporting escalations during US business hours and collaborating across time zones. - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to contribute structured technical recommendations while partnering effectively with IT leadership and security teams. - A proactive, ownership‑oriented mindset with strong prioritization, problem‑solving, and collaboration skills.Why this opportunity is for you- You want to deepen your expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure, and modern endpoint management while working in a mature, governance‑driven environment. - You enjoy being the escalation point that solves complex issues, improves processes, and strengthens documentation and standards. - You are energized by collaborating across helpdesk, SOC, and IT leadership, contributing your technical voice while operating within a clear decision‑making framework. - You value a culture that emphasizes growth, ownership, documentation discipline, and high‑quality communication as much as technical depth.
