Join us!We are seeking experienced Tax Supervisors to lead tax compliance engagements in accordance with firm and professional standards. In this role, you will work directly with management and clients to build and maintain relationships, perform detailed reviews of tax returns and work papers, review tax returns, research, communications, and other requested deliverables, and communicate proactively and timely with clients and team members regarding project status, client service opportunities, and other matters.In addition to managing tax compliance engagements, you will provide training, direction, and supervision to a tax team, ensuring the team's adherence to the firm's quality standards and procedures. You will participate in firm initiatives and projects, contributing to the development and implementation of new processes and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the tax compliance function.The successful candidate will have a CPA or EA license. Strong technical skills in tax compliance, research, and planning are required, as well as excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills. The ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong client relationships is essential.Responsibilities: Lead tax compliance engagements in accordance with firm and professional standards Work directly with management and clients to build and maintain relationships Perform detailed reviews of tax returns and work papers Review tax returns, research, communications, and other requested deliverables Communicate proactively and timely with clients and team members regarding project status, client service opportunities, and other matters Provide training, direction, and supervision to a tax team Participate in firm initiatives and projectsRequirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting CPA Certification obtained OR Current EA certification with plans to sit for the CPA exam 2 years of experience within a public accounting firm 3 years of experience preparing/reviewing individual (1040), business (1065, 1120, 1120S) nonprofit (990), and trust returns (1041) Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in a tax setting Proven demonstration of tax compliance across a broad range of entity types and multiple states. Must be able to effectively supervise, train, and work with a team of 3-4 tax preparers Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple engagements while meeting tax deadlines Strong analytical, supervisory, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills Advanced Excel and tax preparation and research software system. (CCH is a plus) Work hours are Monday - Friday, 1 PM to 10 PM IST, but must be willing to work 50-60 hours per week as needed to meet tax deadlines.
