Bengaluru.Workday Platform Engineering LeadAbout the Role:We are building a world-class People Systems organization to power the next generation of global HR at Abercrombie & Fitch Co. The Workday Platform Engineering Lead will play a critical role in that transformation by owning the design, build, maintenance, and reliability of Workday integrations and platform capabilities. This leader manages a team of Workday engineers and partners closely with Workday Product Owners, HR Technology, Service Delivery, and Digital Technology teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions that enable a seamless associate experience.What You’ll Do:- Lead and develop a Workday engineering team responsible for integration development, platform performance, data flows, monitoring, and operational excellenceOwn Workday integrations lifecycle (design through deployment), including:- Studio integrations - EIBs, Core Connectors, and Cloud Connect packages - SFTP and API-based integrations - Scheduling, error handling, and automated monitoring - Ensure integrations and platform changes support global business processes in areas like HCM, Scheduling, Talent, Payroll, Benefits, and Recruiting - Drive a robust engineering practice including version control, peer reviews, documentation, and test automation where possible - Partner closely with HR Product, Operations, and Platform teams to align releases, enhancements, and support with business priorities - Partner with IT Help Desk and HR Operations to triage, prioritize, and resolve Workday platform issues using ServiceNow incident and request queues, ensuring strong SLAs and clear handoffs across support tiers - Translate complex HR data requirements into resilient, scalable technical solutions - Manage platform operations such as security event handling, tenant strategy, cutover planning, and release validation - Maintain compliance, data privacy, and global integration standards - Mentor engineers, nurture a learning culture, and build Workday capability depth within the teamWhat You Bring:- 6–10 years of hands-on Workday platform and integration engineering experienceAdvanced proficiency with:- Workday Studio - Core Connectors - EIBs - REST/SOAP APIs and related integration patterns - Experience leading a team of Workday engineers or technical leads (2+ years preferred) - Strong understanding of HCM data models, HR business processes, and data security best practices - Proven ability to simplify integrations, reduce technical debt, and scale performance - Effective communication skills working across technical and non-technical stakeholders - Experience with Jira or other agile delivery tools - Familiar with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms for case and incident handling - Bonus: DevOps experience, test automation frameworks for Workday integrations, Git and CI/CD exposure, familiarity with global payroll vendors (ADP EV6 and Global View)Success Outcomes:- High system reliability through strong monitoring, alerting, and proactive remediation - Clean, standardized integration portfolio with reduced manual effort and minimal outages - Smooth delivery of major Workday releases and platform enhancements - Strong partnership and alignment with Product to accelerate business value - Engineers growing and advancing their craft within a high-trust culture
