Job Responsibilities -- Ensure timely development & approval of fabric at proto sample & bulk order stages - Ensure timely submission of FDS/FIS with accurate details. - Providing technical support to the suppliers and merchandisers. - Responsible for taking corrective & preventive actions whenever required to improve the material quality. - Communicating with internal staff, fabric suppliers and garment manufacturers on technical queries and issues. - Responsible for random test audit & random report checking. - Handling of complaints, non-conformance of testing, corrective action plan and implementation. - Ensure all fabric approvals & shade lots as per the T&A calendars. - Able to review test reports and failure parameters. - Able to review the care code list and assign/suggest the wash care code. - Ensure raw material has a valid ID number. - Responsible for related documentation- lab dips, desk looms, paperwork & communication to the stakeholders. - Responsible for RND, Bulk Fabric, SSY, and testing. - Comprehensive fabric knowledge and mill relationships across India.Qualifications and Requirements –- Diploma/Degree holder in Textile Technology - Work Experience in buying a house is preferred, handling US-based brands. - Strong knowledge in Woven and Knit Fabrics (Weaving/Knitting/Dyeing/Printing) - Fabric price negotiation skills. - Knowledge of Mill suppliers in North and South. - Good Eye for colour and colour managing system. - Strong knowledge in Testing and compliance. - Good verbal and written English communication skills
