Job Title: Senior Structural Designer – OffshoreLocation: Chennai, IndiaDepartment: Engineering – StructuralOverall Purpose of RoleThis role is responsible for managing, distributing, and reviewing design and drawing tasks for structural and outfitting components in offshore projects, including various platform elements and living quarters. The Senior Designer will lead teams and manage multiple projects to deliver high-quality results on time.Primary Responsibilities, Authorities & Accountabilities- Develop 3D models and 2D drawings using S3D and AutoCAD according to project standards. - Review and ensure the quality of design deliverables. - Conduct model reviews to check for accessibility, operability, and safety. - Prepare and verify Material Take-Offs (MTOs) and assist with material specifications. - Coordinate with other disciplines to resolve issues and find effective solutions. - Manage team schedules and performance to meet project requirements. - Help develop and maintain design guidelines and standard details. - Review vendor drawings and work with clients on conceptual designs. - Uphold health, safety, and environmental standards in all designs.Attainment (Education & Experience)- Education: Minimum ITI Draftsmanship or Diploma in Engineering. - Experience: 8–16 years in offshore oil and gas projects, focusing on facilities like jackets, topsides, or drilling rigs.Software Skills:- Expertise in S3D (Smart 3D) for structural modeling. - Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D drafting. - Familiarity with 3D model review software like Navisworks. - Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of relevant international codes and standards such as API, AISC, ABS, or DNV.If interested kindly share your CV to mragavan@
