Based in the Mumbai office, the Operations Officer is central to the smooth delivery of day-to-day administrative activities and the maintenance of accurate operational records across key systems.The MOO is responsible for providing proactive routing advice in response to intelligence alerts to ensure the safe and efficient routing of vessels globally. Utilizing internal systems and routing principles alongside your navigational experience at sea.Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Global Operations Center (GOC) to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Collaborate with the MOO’s based in the GOC. - Conduct voyage risk assessments. - Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal policies, procedures, and data protection requirements. - Review, advise on, and provide guidance regarding regional vessel Best Management Practices (BMP), including route recommendations and vessel schedule coordination. - Liaise with internal teams and stakeholders to support effective communication and information sharing. - Prepare and complete handover documentation for the Global Operations Centre (GOC) based in Southampton. - Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance administrative and operational processes. - Provide ad hoc administrative and operational support in line with business needs.Qualifications and skills:- Officer of the watch unlimited (OOW) with global experience at sea at least in third officer position. - Have good judgement and decision-making skills, with an understanding of the impact on stakeholders. - Strong multi-tasking skills, with the ability to coordinate activities, facilitate unit goals and manage resource requirements. - Excellent IT skills covering the Microsoft Office Suite. - Strong administration skills, with the ability to assist in numerous projects simultaneously. - Previous experience within the maritime services sector in an operational coordination/administration role would be advantageous.The role is for one of our clients in Mumbai - Mulund (West) on a permanent basis.
