Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and maintain a Schedule of Accounts for all General Ledger (GL) balances, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper classification. - Perform independent ledger scrutiny for all GL accounts, including validation of balances, movements, and supporting documentation. - Review and validate month-end accounting entries, including accruals, provisions, depreciation, prepaid expenses, and reclassifications. - Ensure timely month-end and year-end closure in line with internal timelines and reporting requirements. - Assist in the preparation of standalone and consolidated financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards (Ind AS). - Support audit requirements by providing schedules, reconciliations, explanations, and documentation to internal and statutory auditors. - Monitor and resolve reconciliation differences for key GL accounts and ensure closure of open items on a timely basis. - Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and SOPs relating to GL and financial reporting. - Coordinate with AP, AR, FA, Costing, and Payroll teams to ensure end-to-end accuracy of financial data flowing into the GL. - Identify process gaps and support continuous improvement initiatives in GL accounting and reporting processes.
