The role focuses on conducting vehicle-level Threat Analysis and Risk Assessments (TARA), defining cybersecurity concepts, ensuring compliance with ISO/SAE 21434 and UNECE R155, and supporting OEM‑level Cybersecurity Management System (CSMS) activities. The engineer will collaborate across system, software, hardware, and functional safety teams to ensure cybersecurity is integrated from concept to validation at the whole-vehicle level.Responsibilities- Lead vehicle-level and system/function-level TARA in accordance with ISO/SAE 21434. - Identify vehicle and domain-level assets, damage scenarios, cybersecurity goals, threats, and attack feasibility. - Develop and maintain Threat Scenario Libraries and Attack Path Libraries for multiple vehicle domains. - Identify cybersecurity risks and define suitable risk treatment strategies across the vehicle lifecycle. - Derive vehicle-level cybersecurity goals and requirements with complete traceability to TARA outcomes. - Support development and delivery of cybersecurity work products required for: - ISO/SAE 21434 - UNECE R155 vehicle-level homologation - OEM-specific CSMS frameworks - Contribute to CSMS gap assessments, compliance mapping, and process adaptation for global markets. - Provide technical justification during OEM reviews, assessments, and regulatory audits. - Participate in cybersecurity reviews, design workshops, and cross-functional engineering sessions. - Collaborate with systems engineering, software, hardware, and functional safety teams to embed cybersecurity across V‑Model development.Must‑Have Skills- Strong, hands-on experience with ISO/SAE 21434 Cybersecurity Engineering. - Solid understanding of UNECE R155 and vehicle-level cybersecurity regulatory requirements. - Practical experience conducting TARA using recognized industry methods and tools. - Knowledge of automotive E/E vehicle architecture, domain controllers, gateways, and ECU functions. - Experience with threat modeling, attack feasibility analysis, and multi-domain attack paths. - Familiarity with automotive communication protocols: - CAN, CAN‑FD, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, DoIP - Ability to produce high-quality cybersecurity documentation and technical justifications. - Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts across connected vehicles, infotainment, telematics, ADAS, and powertrain domains.Qualifications & Experience- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline. - 5+ years of experience in automotive cybersecurity or embedded security engineering. - Hands-on experience delivering cybersecurity analysis and documentation for OEM or Tier 1 vehicle programs. - Exposure to global compliance and regulatory requirements for connected and autonomous vehicles. - Experience with CSMS processes, cybersecurity audits, or type approval activities (advantage). - Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to interface with global teams. - Self-motivated, capable of working independently in a remote environment, with effective time management. - High attention to quality, consistency, and cybersecurity best practices. - Flexible working style and strong collaborative mindset.Passion for cybersecurity, technology, and automotive innovation.
