This role supports transaction processing health which includes correcting and posting transactions, resolving system errors, and troubleshooting issues stemming from standard features and customizations that create/post financial entries. The ideal candidate blends strong accounting knowledge with practical D365 F&O expertise, is comfortable with production support, and collaborates closely with Finance, IT and Development teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely financial closes.What you’ll be doing:Operational Support & Transaction Processing- Review, correct, and post reported issues with AP invoices, vendor payments, AR invoices, customer payments, settlements, and GL journals (including accruals, allocations, and recurring journals). - Resolve posting failures and reprocess transactions. - Manage and reconcile reported issues with subledger to GL ties for AP/AR; investigate discrepancies and post correcting entries as needed. - Manage reported issues with batch jobs, queues, and workflows related to finance processes; re-run failed or stuck jobs.Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution- Diagnose and resolve system errors encountered during transaction creation, validation, posting, settlement, and month-end processes (e.g., ledger setup, posting profiles, fiscal calendars, exchange rates, default dimensions). - Triage issues related to custom development that create or post financial transactions; perform first-level root cause analysis and document reproducible steps and logs. - Collaborate with Dev/IT to validate code fixes, configuration changes, and data corrections in DEV/TEST/UAT; support deployments and post-deployment validations in Production.Controls, Compliance & Close Support- Adhere to segregation of duties (SoD) and internal control frameworks when performing corrections and postings. - Ensure traceability of all corrections via documentation, approvals, and evidence stored in the designated system. - Support period-end close activities (subledger settlements, foreign currency revaluation, inventory close coordination, bank reconciliation, and GL trial balance validation). - Assist Internal/External Audit with transaction evidence, posting logs, and configuration documentation.Integration & Reporting Support- Monitor integrations (e.g., from external billing/AP systems or custom middleware) that generate financial postings; reconcile interface errors and reprocess failed messages. - Assist the reporting teams to validate financial data reflected in Financial Reporter, Power BI, or custom reports. - Utilize Electronic Reporting (ER), Excel add-ins, and standard workspace analytics to investigate issues and confirm corrections.Continuous Improvement- Identify recurring issues and propose process, configuration, or code enhancements; draft user stories/acceptance criteria in Azure DevOps. - Create and maintain related SOPs, runbooks, job aids, and knowledge base articles for finance operations that interact with support function.What are we looking for:- 7+ years of hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (or AX 2012) supporting AP/AR/GL. - Solid understanding of accounting principles (AP, AR, GL, accruals, revaluations, settlements, subledger to GL reconciliation). - Proven experience correcting and posting transactions in Production with strong attention to accuracy, controls, and auditability. - Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot D365 posting errors (e.g., dimension validation, posting profile gaps, tax/currency issues, number sequences). - Experience working with customizations/integrations: able to triage, gather logs, reproduce defects, and collaborate with developers on fixes. - Proficiency with Data Management, Workflows, Batch jobs, Journal controls, Financial dimensions, and Posting profiles. - Strong documentation skills; comfortable using Azure DevOps (or similar) for support tracking by supplying solution documentation, test cases, and release notes. - Excellent communication with Finance, Shared Services, and IT stakeholders; customer-service mindset.What we offer:With us, there are always opportunities to break new ground.
