Bengaluru.Workday Platform Engineer 1About the Role:The Workday Platform Engineer is responsible for building, supporting, and optimizing the technical backbone of our global HR ecosystem. You will design and support Workday integrations, ensure data integrity and platform reliability, and partner closely with HR Product Management, Functional Owners, People Operations, and IT Help Desk to deliver a stable, scalable, and secure Workday environment for associates worldwide.What You’ll Do:Develop, test, deploy, and support integrations using Workday Studio, Core Connectors, EIBs, and REST/SOAP APIsManage the full integration lifecycle including error handling, scheduling, monitoring, logging, and performance tuningSupport Workday platform operations including tenant configuration migrations, release management activities, and data validationsTroubleshoot technical issues within defined SLAs and drive root-cause analysis to reduce repeat incidentsMaintain technical documentation, mapping schemas, and version history for integrations and platform componentsPartner with HR Product and functional Workday SMEs to deliver enhancements aligned to global business processesCollaborate with IT Help Desk and HR Ops to triage technical tickets and improve support handoffs across tiersEnsure security compliance and alignment with global data protection standards (GDPR, SOX, etc.)What You Bring:3–7+ years of Workday integration engineering experience in a global HR environmentStrong hands-on skills with:Workday StudioCore Connectors and EIBsWorkday Web Services (REST/SOAP) and API authentication patternsExperience supporting platform operations for major Workday releases and tenant strategiesFamiliarity with ServiceNow (or similar ITSM tools) for incident and request handlingAbility to translate functional needs into technical design with clear documentationOwnership mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and attention to detailBonus: Git/version control, test automation, payroll vendor integrations (e.g., ADP EV6 and GlobalView)Success Outcomes:Reduced integration errors and increased automation of monitoring and recoveriesHigh reliability and performance of data flows powering downstream systemsFaster delivery cycles through disciplined engineering practicesStrong collaboration and frictionless handoffs across HR Product, HR Systems, and Digital & Tech partners
