Cruise Ship Vacancy - CDP & Assistant CDP (Pastry Department) About the Role- The Asst Chef de Partie Pastry works under the guidance of the Chef De Partie to oversee a Pastry section with as little supervision as possible and can be assigned independently. They are a good team player and a motivated professional with advanced pastry cooking and knife skills. Essential duties and responsibilities Responsibilities- - Preparing all required Pastry recipe as instructed following the Menus, Recipes, Guidelines & Methods provided. - Must be able to take on basic tasks (creams, ice-cream, and preparation of basic dough's) and technics (piping bag, knife handling skills). - Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with USPH and Company Regulations. - Must be able to work in any section of the Pastry Department and demonstrate methods and recipes to his / her subordinates. - Produces and maintains the expected level of food quality in his / her area of responsibility as per the Pastry Chef instructions. - Ensure immaculate cleanliness in the Pastry / Bakery Department and adjacent areas, by applying safe work practices, procedures according to USPH Regulations and prevent any equipment damages / loss. - Responsible to control and maintain all Pastry equipment, ensuring that it's cleaned / sanitized and returned in an acceptable and proper condition after each use. Qualifications - Knowledge, experience, skill, and/or ability Required Basic Pastry Skills. - Requires a minimum of 5 years in the profession (Quality Hotels and Restaurants). Required Skills - Basic Pastry Skills. - Previous Cruise ship experienced preferred but not essential.
