Company Description Founded in 2010 by animal welfare advocates, Youth Organization in Defence of Animals (YODA) is a registered charity based in Mumbai dedicated to fostering harmonious human-animal coexistence. The organization provides essential medical aid for abandoned and injured animals, rehabilitates mentally disturbed animals, and shelters homeless or senior animals until adoption or release. YODA actively contributes to reducing the stray animal population by conducting vaccination and sterilization programs, while also educating communities about animal care and raising awareness to prevent cruelty. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram for a Paravet or Veterinary Assistant at YODA Animal Birth Control Centre. The individual will be responsible for providing care and support to animals under supervision, assisting with treatments, and monitoring their health. Duties include helping with assisting surgeon during surgeries, feeding, bathing, cleaning, administering medication, and assisting in sterilisation or vaccinations. This role also involves educating clients about animal care and providing support to the veterinary team and animal caretakers. Qualifications - Knowledge and experience in Animal Care and Pet Care, with the ability to handle animals compassionately and responsibly. - Experience in Client Education and providing guidance on animal handling, care routines, and general well-being. - Proficiency in Customer Service to effectively communicate with animal caretakers, pet owners, and visitors. - Basic knowledge of Veterinary Medicine or a related field; experience with administering first aid, vaccination, or assisting veterinarians is beneficial. - Excellent organizational, observational, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a dynamic team, demonstrating flexibility and resilience.
