Your role will ensure seamless and efficient delivery of high-quality software products into production environments. You will collaborate closely with development, operations, and other cross-functional teams to establish and optimize CI/CD pipelines, automate release processes, and enhance overall software delivery capabilities. You will design,review and maintain CI/CD pipelines, coordinate with cross-functional teams for updates and new features, and prioritize system stability, minimizing manual tasks, and ensuring rapid, reliable releases to meet business objectives. The role requires a fast learner, adept at quickly adapting to and mastering new technologies and tools in line with project requirements.ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY:Act as a SPOC for GeM for the entire CI/CD strategy, execution, and release processes. Oversee CI/CD pipelines for automation of build, test, and deployment processes including security best practices to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of the software. Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of the CI/CD infrastructure, overseeing the monitoring solutions to track the health and performance of CI/CD processes. Identify and troubleshoot issues related to the build, test, and deployment processes. Coordinate and manage software releases, ensuring a smooth and timely deployment of applications into production environments. Manage version control systems to track changes and ensure that the correct version of the application is deployed at each stage of the release process. Oversee the management of different environments (development, testing, staging, production) to maintain uniformity across all stages of the release pipeline. Maintain comprehensive documentation of CI/CD processes, configurations, and release procedures. Create and update release notes and documentation for each software release. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements during the release process. Schedule and communicate release plans to relevant stakeholders. Manage relationships with CI/CD tool vendors, ensuring that tools and technologies align with organizational needs and goals. Any other responsibility as may be assigned from time to time.EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS A minimum of 8 years of IT experience, with a track record of managing CI/CD and release process for products for at least 3 years. Hands-on proficiency in open source and cloud native DevOps tools (e.g.,AWS services/tools, Jenkins, Apache Maven, Junit, SonarQube, JMeter etc), strong scripting capabilities (Shell, Python) for automation. Expertise in version control with Git or similar tools and software code repositories. Deep understanding of release management processes, familiarity with containerization(e.g., Docker), and knowledge of container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes etc.EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Computer Science/Information Technology/any related field from a reputed university.GOOD TO HAVE SKILLS Experience in e-commerce domain will be an advantage. Relevant certifications depicting extensive knowledge of DevOps e.g.,AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or Jenkins Certified Engineer, Docker Certified Associate, or GitLab Certified CI/CD Engineer, or similar will be an added advantage. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex systems and make data-driven decisions.
