Spencer's Retail, part of the RP-Sanjiv Goenka (RPSG) Group, is a multi-format Indian retailer across fashion, home, electronics, and groceries. We are actively looking for an individual who will execute HR operations and initiatives across Kolkata. The role focuses on recruitment coordination, employee engagement support, compliance tracking, grievance handling assistance, and contributing to HR processes that enable store performance and employee satisfaction. Key Responsibilities As an Human Resource Business partner, you will support end-to-end HR operations by driving business-aligned HR initiatives, managing employee lifecycle processes, recruitment and onboarding, coordinating training and engagement activities, ensuring compliance, and partnering with internal and external stakeholders to maintain workforce productivity, cost efficiency, and healthy store operations. Business & Financial: Assist in implementing HR initiatives that support business KPIs such as productivity and manpower cost. Support in tracking and managing regional HR expenses within the allocated budget. Operational HR: Coordinate employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, documentation, and exit formalities. Conduct regular store visits to gather feedback and support HR health assessments. Assist in setting up HR processes for new stores and team ramp-up activities. Support performance management processes and documentation. Ensure timely processing of payroll inputs and reimbursements. Maintain compliance checklists and assist in statutory documentation. Log and escalate employee grievances for timely resolution. Maintain HR MIS and assist in system updates and reporting. Monitor store hygiene and escalate deviations. Talent & Capability Building: Identify training needs in coordination with store teams and support execution of training programs. Assist in employee engagement activities and feedback collection. Support retention initiatives and maintain attrition data. Monitor brand staff service levels and escalate gaps. Recruitment & Onboarding: Actively manage end-to-end recruitment activities, including interview scheduling, candidate documentation, and stakeholder follow-ups. Own and maintain sourcing databases while coordinating with external recruitment vendors to ensure timely and quality hiring. Drive seamless onboarding and induction processes, ensuring new hires are integrated smoothly and aligned with organizational standards. Stakeholder & People Management Maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including Area Managers and target audience store managers and team leaders. Maintain communication with vendors (security, housekeeping) for compliance and payment coordination. Build rapport with internal teams and external partners for smooth HR operations. Qualifications/Experience: Education: MBA/PGDM in HR Experience: 3-5 years in HR operations or generalist role, preferably in retail/FMCG/QSR/Apparels Competencies: HR Process Orientation Communication & Coordination Understanding of Labor Laws and Compensation Structure Problem Solving & Escalation Ownership & Accountability Stakeholder Support Data Management & Reporting
