Job Description Key Responsibilities: - Conduct plant safety inspections to identify and mitigate unsafe acts and conditions. - Ensure effective implementation of plant safety rules and safety permit systems. - Deliver on-the-job and off-the-job safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions. - Develop and maintain EHS systems: Work Permits, SOPs, Safety Committee, and Emergency Response Plans. - Investigate incidents/accidents and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA). - Conduct fire drills and maintain fire-fighting equipment per NFPA/OISD standards. - Maintain liaison with statutory authorities (Factory Inspectorate, Pollution Control Board, DISH, Police, etc.). - Ensure compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 standards; participate in internal/external audits. - Implement behavioral-based safety (BBS) programs and process safety management (PSM) per DuPont guidelines. - Manage contractor safety, including gate entry checklists, training, and third-party certifications. - Coordinate disaster management and off-site emergency planning with district authorities. - Maintain documentation and reporting systems: Near misses, Incident Logs, Safety Statistics, and HSE Dashboards. - Lead and support PEB structure erection and heavy equipment installation safety compliance. - Monitor usage of PPEs and safety practices across shifts; lead daily/weekly safety briefings. - Support engineering and maintenance teams in safe commissioning and preventive maintenance of safety-critical equipment. - Ensure legal compliance: factory license, explosive license, environmental clearance, and medical checks. - Organize safety day, first aid, and fire safety training programs. - Promote safety culture through recognition programs, audits, and internal awareness campaigns. Skills & Competencies: - Strong leadership and team motivation in safety culture development. - Knowledge of statutory and regulatory frameworks (Factory Act, ETP/STP compliance, environmental audits). - Experience in managing DuPont Safety Systems, Contractor Safety Management, and Emergency Response. - Familiarity with maintenance safety across CNC/VMC/utility areas. - Proficient in MS Office, SAP, and MySafety software. - Trained in fire prevention, accident investigation, and ISO/OHSAS standards. - Excellent communication and coordination skills with internal teams and external agencies.
