Purpose of the RoleThe Network Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining IT and OT network infrastructure. The role ensures the reliability, security, and efficiency of network systems supporting industrial operations.The Network Specialist coordinates, plans, and executes work in close consultation with production lines, server coordinators, and security officers, ensuring alignment with operational and security requirements.2. Key ResponsibilitiesNetwork OperationsMonitor and maintain network performance to ensure minimal downtime and optimal functionalityTroubleshoot and resolve network issues promptly to minimize operational impactEnsure network security through implementation and maintenance of appropriate security measuresTechnical AdministrationPerform adjustments and changes to network components for optimization or evolving requirementsModify firewall rules for new or modernized systems in line with IT/OT Security Officer guidelinesManage and adjust central DNS configurationsDocument network configurations, processes, and procedures for reference and complianceNetwork Extension & ModernizationDesign and implement OT network solutions for industrial control systemsExpand WLAN coverage across IT and OT environmentsImplement new technologies to support growing bandwidth and functionality demandsStay current with network technologies and industry best practicesCollaborationCollaborate with IT and OT teams to integrate network solutions with existing systemsFramework ConditionsWorking hours aligned to GMT +13.
