Job Title:Senior Executive – Electronics & Embedded Hardware.Department:R&D – Women’s Health & Fertility SolutionsLocation:Vapi, GujaratReports To:Manager / Senior Manager – Electronics & Embedded R&DJob Purpose:To design, develop, and bring up image processing and imaging hardware platforms for medical devices, enabling accurate diagnosis, clinical confidence, and improved patient outcomes, while ensuring high standards of performance, safety, reliability, manufacturability, and compliance with global medical device standards.Key Responsibilities: –1. Hardware Design & Development• Design and develop electronic hardware for imaging and image processing systems used in Women’s Health & Fertility devices. • Define system-level hardware architecture including sensors, processors, memory, power, and interfaces. • Create detailed schematics, block diagrams, BOMs, and technical specifications. • Select components considering performance, reliability, lifecycle availability, and regulatory suitability. • Ensure designs meet functional, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.2. Image Sensor & Interface Design• Interface CMOS/CCD image sensors with SoCs, processors, or FPGAs. • Design and validate high-speed data interfaces such as MIPI CSI-2, LVDS, HDMI, and DisplayPort (DP). • Implement clocking, synchronization, reset logic, and control interfaces (I2C, SPI, GPIO). • Lead board bring-up, debugging, and functional validation of imaging hardware.3. Power Architecture & Signal Integrity• Design power architecture and power sequencing for imaging sensors, processors, and peripherals. • Develop robust PDN using DC-DC converters, LDOs, and protection circuits. • Support and review high-speed PCB routing, impedance control, differential pair routing, and length matching. • Ensure signal integrity and noise performance suitable for sensitive medical imaging applications.4. EMC, Thermal & Safety Design• Support EMC/EMI, thermal, and electrical safety design considerations for medical devices. • Ensure alignment with IEC 60601 basic safety and essential performance requirements. • Participate in design risk analysis (DFMEA) and implement mitigation measures. • Support pre-compliance and compliance testing activities with internal and external labs.5. Prototyping, Testing & Validation• Support prototype build, bring-up, and debugging of hardware assemblies. • Conduct functional testing, performance validation, and stress testing. • Support design verification and validation (DV & V) activities. • Implement design improvements based on test results, risk assessments, and clinical/user feedback.6. Cross-Functional Collaboration• Collaborate with firmware, software, optics, mechanical, quality, regulatory, and manufacturing teams. • Support design transfer activities from R&D to manufacturing (DFM / DFT). • Participate in technical discussions with PCB vendors, EMS partners, and component suppliers. • Support engineering change management and continuous improvement initiatives.7. Documentation & Compliance• Prepare and maintain design documentation including schematics, BOMs, test reports, and revision history. • Support design control documentation in line with ISO 13485 requirements. • Ensure compliance with applicable medical device standards and internal quality systems. • Participate in internal and external audits as required.Qualifications and Experience:• B.E. / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech in Electronics, Embedded Systems, Instrumentation, or equivalent. • 5–8 years of experience in electronics hardware design. • Experience in medical devices, diagnostics, imaging systems, or other regulated products preferred. • Hands-on experience with schematic and PCB design tools (Altium / Cadence / OrCAD or equivalent).Skills and Competencies:• Strong expertise in high-speed digital and mixed-signal design. • Hands-on experience with MIPI CSI-2, LVDS, HDMI, DisplayPort interfaces. • Good understanding of image sensor hardware, power sequencing, and system bring-up. • Knowledge of EMC, electrical safety, and medical device design fundamentals. • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work effectively in a regulated, cross-functional environment. • Good communication and technical documentation skills.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):• On-time delivery of hardware design outputs as per project timelines. • Successful board bring-up with minimal rework or respins. • Compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. • Smooth design transfer to manufacturing with minimal issues. • Contribution to product reliability, performance improvement, and cost optimization.
