Job Description Role Overview We are looking for a Field Coordination Associate to be embedded in the CCF Office, Gadchiroli, to support Forest Department activities at the divisional and field level This role requires close coordination with forest officials, field staff, communities, and other stakeholders The position is well-suited for candidates with field experience and a strong understanding of social and cultural contexts. Roles and Responsibilities Support the CCF office in field-level data collection, data logging, and reporting Assist forest officials in coordinating with range offices, beat staff, and field teams. Support the preparation of field reports, progress notes, community engagement documentation, and case records Assist in the coordination of field visits, inspections, training, and meetings Act as a liaison between Forest Department staff, local communities, NGOs, and partner organizations Support documentation of community-based initiatives, livelihoods projects, and conservation activities Assist in compiling socio-cultural and ecological observations relevant to forest management Support grievance documentation, community feedback, and follow-up actions where required Provide logistical and coordination support for pilot projects and departmental initiatives. Requirements Graduate or postgraduate degree in Anthropology, Sociology, Forestry, Environmental Science, Rural Development, Ethnobotany, or related fields 2–5 years of field experience, preferably in tribal or forest landscapes Prior experience working with government departments, forest offices, or grassroots projects is strongly preferred Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work with diverse stakeholders Strong reporting and documentation skills Fluency in Marathi is mandatory; knowledge of local tribal languages is a plus Willingness to travel extensively and work in remote field conditions High levels of sensitivity, professionalism, and cultural awareness GIS skills (QGIS/ArcGIS/Google Earth Pro) and ability to work with spatial data are highly desirable Key Skills Stakeholder coordination Government processes & documentation Reporting & data management Field coordination Cultural sensitivity Problem-solving & adaptability GIS and spatial data analysis (highly desirable) Soft Skills Diplomacy and discretion Ability to work without rigid role boundaries Respect for institutional hierarchies Proactive and solution-oriented mindset Benefits Salary Salary will be decided mutually based on experience, skill, and fit of the candidate with our team and culture.
