Solar Design EngineerCompany: GridZero Location: Faridabad, HaryanaEmployment Type: Full-timeAbout the Role:We are looking for a detail-oriented Solar Design Engineer to create accurate 2D/3D layouts and technical proposals for residential rooftop projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that every solar system we sell is technically feasible and optimized for maximum generation.Key Responsibilities:•⁠ ⁠System Design: Prepare detailed 2D (AutoCAD) and 3D (SketchUp/PVsyst) layouts for residential rooftops (3kW – 20kW+).•⁠ ⁠Shadow Analysis: Perform shadow analysis using Helioscope or Arka 360 to calculate accurate generation estimates for customers.•⁠ ⁠Site Feasibility: Review site survey videos/photos to identify obstructions (water tanks, vents) and plan cable routing.•⁠ ⁠Structure Design: Select the right mounting structure (High-rise vs. Standard) based on roof type.•⁠ ⁠BOM Preparation: Create precise Bills of Material (BOM) for the procurement team to ensure no shortage of material on site.•⁠ ⁠Technical Support: Assist the sales team with technical queries during client meetings.Candidate Requirements:•⁠ ⁠Education: B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.•⁠ ⁠Experience: 1–3 years of experience specifically in Rooftop Solar Design.•⁠ ⁠Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Helioscope, and Google SketchUp is mandatory.•⁠ ⁠Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of inverter string sizing, cable selection (DC/AC), and earthing protection.•⁠ ⁠Detail Oriented: Ability to catch design errors before the material reaches the site.Salary:•⁠ ⁠Competitive (Based on experience and software proficiency).How to Apply:Send your CV and a sample design portfolio (AutoCAD/Helioscope reports) sarvesh@
