With offices in US, Germany, Brazil, and China, JOOLA has a global presence and wide distributor network.Job Title: Senior EDI Integration Specialist Location: BangaloreDepartment: Information TechnologyJob Type: Full-time (Supporting US business hours)Job Summary :JOOLA is seeking a Senior EDI Integration Specialist to own and evolve our end-to-end EDI ecosystem supporting major retail, marketplace, and logistics partners. This role is critical to ensuring accurate, reliable, and scalable electronic data exchange between JOOLA’s internal ERP and external trading partners, with a strong focus on SPS Commerce - based integrations.The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on EDI expertise, understands retail supply-chain flows, and can operate confidently across technical execution, partner onboarding, and operational support in a fast-growing global organization.Role and ResponsibilitiesEDI Platform Ownership & OperationsOwn day-to-day operations of JOOLA’s EDI integrations, primarily leveraging SPS Commerce and associated VAN/communication channels.Monitor, support, and troubleshoot EDI transaction flows to ensure high availability, accuracy, and SLA adherence.Proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve failed or delayed transactions across inbound and outbound document flows.Root cause analysis and preventative fixesPeak season / blackout period readiness Transaction & Mapping ManagementConfigure, maintain, and optimize EDI mappings for key transaction sets including (but not limited to):850 (Purchase Orders)855 (PO Acknowledgements)856 (Advance Ship Notices)810 (Invoices)846 / 832 / 940 / 945 as applicableEnsure mappings align with trading partner specifications and JOOLA’s internal data models.Manage mapping versioning and change control across partner updatesTrading Partner EnablementLead onboarding and certification of new retail, distributor, and logistics trading partners.Act as the primary technical liaison with external partners, VAN providers, and EDI vendors.Coordinate testing cycles, UAT validation, and production cutovers with minimal business disruption.Own partner certification timelines, issue resolution SLAs, and re-certification as required ERP & Integration CollaborationCollaborate closely with ERP, integration, and business teams to ensure seamless data flow between EDI, ERP, and downstream systems.Support enhancements, changes, and migration initiatives involving ERP upgrades or integration architecture evolution.Participate in integration design discussions to ensure EDI scalability and future-readiness.Collaborate on Hybrid EDI + API Integration patterns Work with middleware/iPaaS platformsGovernance, Compliance & DocumentationEnsure compliance with industry EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT where applicable) and security protocols (AS2, SFTP, HTTPS).Maintain clear documentation for mappings, partner specs, operational runbooks, and troubleshooting procedures.Support audits, peak season readiness, and business continuity planning related to EDI operations. Ensure data privacy and security best practices for partner data.Required Qualifications5+ years of hands-on experience in EDI integration, support, and operations.Strong expertise in EDI standards such as ANSI X12 (EDIFACT a plus).Proven experience with EDI communication protocols including AS2, FTP/SFTP, and HTTPS.Demonstrated experience working with retail or supply-chain EDI ecosystems.Solid understanding of end-to-end business processes: Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and Logistics.Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners.Ability to work independently work or own production EDI systems with minimal supervisionPreferred / Nice-to-Have QualificationsDirect experience with SPS Commerce (highly preferred).Exposure to ERP platforms such as NetSuite, SAP, or similar.Experience supporting high-volume retail or omnichannel environments.Familiarity with XML/XSLT-based transformations and integration tools.
