The role involves building event-driven data pipelines, API integrations, and cloud-native services using AWS Lambda, modern ETL patterns, and strong engineering best practices.You will work closely with cross-functional teams across application engineering, IT, OT, and DevOps to accelerate the delivery of a production-grade analytics and integration platform.This is a development-focused role, not a support or reporting position.Key ResponsibilitiesAWS Cloud EngineeringDesign, develop, and operate serverless solutions using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, EventBridge, SNS/SQSImplement secure networking using VPCs, IAM roles, and security best practicesMonitor and optimize solutions using CloudWatch metrics, logs, and alarmsData Pipelines & ETLBuild and enhance serverless data pipelines using AWS Lambda and GlueDesign event-driven and API-based ingestion architecturesPerform data modeling and transformations for analytics and BI use casesAPI Development & IntegrationDesign and implement RESTful APIs using API Gateway and LambdaIntegrate with internal and external systems using secure API and webhook-based patternsDefine and maintain OpenAPI / Swagger specificationsDevOps & Infrastructure as CodeProvision and manage infrastructure using Terraform or AWS CDKBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or AWS CodePipelineAutomate deployments and enforce repeatable, reliable delivery processesObservability & DashboardingDevelop Grafana dashboards for system, pipeline, and business metricsImplement CloudWatch-based monitoring, alerting, and loggingVisualize and analyze time-series data to support operational and BI insightsSecurity & GovernanceImplement IAM modeling, secrets management, encryption, and audit loggingEnforce cloud security, governance, and compliance best practicesCross-Functional CollaborationProduce clear documentation and architecture diagramsCollaborate with Application Software Engineering, IT, OT, and DevOps teamsParticipate in design discussions and technical decision-makingRequired Skills & Experience8+ years of overall experience in software engineering, cloud engineering, or data engineeringStrong hands-on experience with AWS serverless services (Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, S3, SNS/SQS)Experience building data pipelines and ETL workflows in cloud-native architecturesProficiency in Python and/or Node.js for backend and Lambda developmentExperience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or AWS CDK)CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, or similar toolsStrong understanding of API design, integration patterns, and securityExperience with Grafana and CloudWatch for observability and dashboardsExperience with Time-series data platforms (InfluxDB or similar)
