Job Title: Executive EngineeringLocation: DelhiReports to: HOD – EngineeringJOB DescriptionThe Executive - Engineering is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the proper functioning of building facilities and equipment. This role supports a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for guests and staff by performing preventive maintenance and responding to maintenance requests efficiently. The individual plays a vital role in maintaining the Design District’s luxurious ambiance and operational integrity. Key Responsibilities: Respond and attend to repair requests. Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues. Perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines. Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed. Communicate each day’s activities and problems that occur to the other shifts using approved communication programs and standards. Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work. Display basic computer skills including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; and properly store flammable materials. Facility Management & Maintenance: Reporting into the Sr Executive – Engineering, this role includes below responsibilities- 1) Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel facilities, including Art galleries, Kitchen, public areas, and back-of-house areas. 2) Maintain and troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and mechanical systems 3) Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs 4) Conduct preventive maintenance as per schedules and checklists 5) Inspect equipment regularly and report issues requiring major repair or replacement 6) Ensure compliance with building safety standards and local regulations 7) Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance logs in good condition 8) Coordinate with external vendors and contractors when required 9) Support room inspections and renovations as assigned 10) Preparation of consumption reports on power, water, steam, and gas in logbooks. 11) Coordinate with other departments: Such as Front Office, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage, to ensure smooth operations and address any technical issues, ensuring guest satisfaction, ability to work under pressure. 12) Liaise with external consultants and contractors as required. Qualifications & Skills: 1) 12TH or ITI or Diploma in any engineering discipline. 2) Minimum 3 years experience in engineering and maintenance within luxury hotels. 3) Strong technical knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, Fire and mechanical systems. 4) Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. 5) Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures. 6) Experience in project management and budget control. 7) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 8) Proficiency in relevant computer applications and facility management software. 9) Strong organizational and time management skills. 10) Knowledge of energy management and sustainability practices.
