As a Test Manager, you will understand software testing methodologies, create the manual/automated test cases, and a passion for ensuring the reliability and functionality of our embedded software products.Position Name: Junior Test EngineerLocation: Kharadi, PuneExperience - 2-4 years onlyEmployee reports to / Employee’s Direct reportsLocal Reporting Line:Test Manager, Embedded System Department, KION Technology Center IndiaFunctional Reporting Line:Position names of direct reports:Test Engineer, System TestJob description:Develop and implement comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for embedded systems, including both hardware and software componentsDesign and execute various types of tests, such as functional testing, performance testing, stress testing, and compatibility testing, to ensure the robustness of embedded systemsIdentify and analyze system/software requirements to create effective test scenarios customer requirements.Document test procedures, test results, and other relevant information to ensure traceability and facilitate the effective communication of testing outcomes.Conduct regression testing to verify the stability of embedded systems after modifications, enhancements, or updatesUtilize specialized testing tools, equipment, and methodologies to conduct both manual and automated testing processes.Education and Experience:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics or computer Science Engineering, or a related technical fieldProven experience in testing automotive embedded systems (2+ years) Strong knowledge of embedded hardware and software, including microcontrollers, processors, firmware, and device driversProficiency in various testing techniques and methodologies, such as black-box testing, white-box testing, and integration testingPython/CAPL scripting experience for test automationExperience with testing tools and frameworks, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and simulatorsStrong communication skills and the flexibility in terms of workFamiliarity with industry standards and regulations related to embedded systems testing and quality assuranceHIL / Vehicle testing experience would be added advantage Personal Attributes: Good at building & sustaining relationships with external & internal Stakeholders.
