Title - Operating System Architect – ClickUp The Mission Design and implement a complete, end-to-end operating system using ClickUp as the core platform. Build a unified “operational brain” that runs every domain of the organization—growth, delivery, managed services, practices, people, finance, quality, and operations—through one coherent, automated system. This is architecture. You are building how an organization functions. What You Will Build You will design and implement a single operating model that works vertically (end-to-end value flow) and horizontally (shared capabilities across domains). Vertical Domains (Value Flow) Growth – marketing, pipeline, proposals, handoff to delivery Client Success – account plans, renewals, escalations, QBRs Delivery – programs, projects, milestones, outcomes Managed Services (AMS) – incidents, requests, changes, SLAs Horizontal Domains (Shared Capabilities) PMO & Delivery Excellence – standards, templates, governance, reporting Practices – Data & Analytics, Integrations, Automation/Pega, AI, Architecture Quality, Risk & Security – QA gates, controls, audit readiness People & Talent – recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, training Finance & Commercial Ops – utilization, billing workflow, margin signals Internal Operations – tools, SOPs, internal initiatives Every domain must be: Structured Repeatable Automated Measurable Connected to executive visibility What You Will Do Architect a full workspace hierarchy that supports all domains in one system Design domain-specific operating models (Growth, Delivery, AMS, Practices, Ops, People, Finance, Quality) Build reusable templates for every core workflow Implement automation that governs how work flows between domains Replace spreadsheets with structured data models (custom fields, table views, relationships) Create cross-domain dashboards for leadership Establish governance: permissions, roles, guest model, standards Document the system so it can be owned and evolved internally Partner directly with leadership to translate vision into an executable platform What You Must Be Exceptional At Thinking in systems, not functions Designing multi-domain operating models Translating ambiguity into structure Building workflow engines, not boards Data modeling with operational intent Turning information into action Owning architecture from concept to execution Required Experience Deep, hands-on mastery of ClickUp or a comparable Work OS (Airtable, , Notion, Smartsheet) at organizational scale Proven track record designing enterprise-grade internal operating systems Experience modeling multiple business domains in a single platform Advanced workflow automation and governance design Comfort working directly with founders and senior leaders Ability to think like a product architect, not a project coordinator Ideal Background Operations architecture, product operations, consulting, or systems design Experience in high-growth services or technology organizations Exposure to BPM, ERP, or platform architecture concepts Strong understanding of how professional services organizations scale What Success Looks Like Every domain runs through one coherent system Growth flows cleanly into delivery and AMS Practices, PMO, and Quality enforce consistency People and Finance processes are operationalized Spreadsheets disappear Core workflows are automated Leadership has real-time, cross-domain visibility The organization operates with clarity, predictability, and scale
