Job Description

Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, peripherals, and networking equipment in CSE laboratoriesSet up and support laboratory environments for programming, software development, databases, networking, AI/ML, and other CSE-related practical sessionsInstall, update, and manage operating systems, compilers, IDEs, databases, and licensed softwareTroubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues and provide timely technical support to students and facultyMaintain lab inventory, including hardware, software licenses, and consumablesEnsure data security, system backups, antivirus protection, and access control in laboratory systemsAssist faculty during lab sessions, examinations, and project workMaintain documentation for system configurations, lab manuals, and maintenance recordsEnsure laboratories comply with institutional IT policies, safety standards, and usage guidelinesCoordinate with vendors and IT departments for repairs, upgrades, and procurementRequired QualificationsDiploma / Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field1–3 years of experience in managing computer laboratories or IT support (freshers may be considered for junior roles)Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and basic networkingFamiliarity with programming environments and common development toolsAbility to troubleshoot technical issues effectivelyPreferred QualificationsExperience in academic or educational institutionsKnowledge of server administration, virtualization, or cloud platformsCertifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Linux+, or equivalentKey Skills & CompetenciesTechnical troubleshooting and problem-solvingAttention to detail and documentationTime management and multitaskingCommunication and coordination with students and facultyWillingness to learn new technologies
