Experience6–8 years PQERole OverviewThe firm is seeking a Litigation Lawyer with strong experience in litigation and dispute resolution to independently handle matters across courts and tribunals. The role involves managing complex disputes, appearing before courts, briefing counsel, and providing strategic legal advice to clients.Key ResponsibilitiesLitigation & Court WorkHandle civil, commercial, and corporate litigation before: High Courts, District Courts, Commercial Courts, Tribunals (NCLT, NCLAT, etc., as applicable)Draft and review pleadings including: Plaint, written statements, applications, rejoinders, Interim applications, affidavits, and written submissionsConduct legal research and prepare case strategiesAppear before courts for arguments, hearings, and case management (depending on practice)Client & Counsel ManagementLiaise directly with clients and provide regular matter updatesBrief and coordinate with senior counsel and advocates-on-recordAdvise clients on litigation risk, timelines, and outcomesCase ManagementIndependently manage multiple matters and deadlinesOversee junior associates and review their workEnsure procedural compliance and effective matter trackingDispute Strategy & AdvisoryEvaluate disputes at pre-litigation stage and suggest resolution strategiesAssist in settlement negotiations, mediation, or arbitration where requiredKey RequirementsLaw degree from a recognised institutionEnrolled with a State Bar Council6–8 years of post-qualification experience in litigationStrong drafting, research, and oral advocacy skillsHands-on experience with court appearances and procedural lawAbility to manage matters independently with minimal supervisionCommercial awareness and client-facing capability
