Role: Mechanical - HVAC EngineerExperience: 8-12 YearsEducational Qualification: B.Tech / M.TechCore Accountabilities / Responsibilities:Develop detailed design calculations for HVAC and Plumbing Equipment, Flow sheets, D&IDs, prepare engineering data sheets, specifications, Material Requisitions, Technical Bid Evaluations, Vendor Communication, Vendor Drawings and Data review, Communication with Client, Preparation of Engineering Drawings, Preparation of Reports, Project Site visit including offshore site if necessary, participating to the Vendor Shop Inspection and Testing at Vendor shop and Project SiteConduct Engineering Studies in consultation with relevant engineering disciplinesTrouble shooting of design issues with due regard to Safety Provide training to Cadet / Junior Engineers and other external membersConduct engineering analysis and recommend technical solutionsTake ownership of Work Metrics, Schedules, Development Review and work towards continuous performance improvementPrepare progress report for the assigned work.Prepare design changes due to revision of input data, P& ID and revision requirements from other disciplines and proposes solutions where necessary.Check and control of design revisions.Maintains, Controls and monitors Mechanical Quality Assurance System based on Chiyoda Almana Integrated Management quality system.Implementation, monitoring and control of ISMS as per Chiyoda Almana Information Security Manual.Contribute LL (Lessons Learned)Deputize Next Level Up during leave of absenceIdentify, resolve engineering issues which are critical for project schedule and costExecution of a significant design task with minimal supervisionReview vendor documents, drawings, test procedure, certificates, operating manuals, design books and engineering data books in accordance with the project design specification and suggest recommendation Maintain up to date Engineering documents, Project wise to address spot Audit checksAssist up line management in development/implementation of objectives, standards, policies, procedures and guidelines in compliance with Quality Management System/Client requirementsTechnical Knowledge / Skills / Competencies Core Technical skills required on design of HVAC & Plumbing systems for Non-plant and Plant Buildings, should be experienced in coordination with structural, architectural, electrical and any other relevant disciplines is required.Familiarity with Static, Rotating and Packaged Equipment will be added advantageIncumbent must demonstrate broad experience in Oil, Gas Brownfield and Greenfield facilities, preferably with FEED / EPC/ EPCm contractors. Middle East experience in similar companies is preferredDemonstrated success in past project involvement and technical delivery of small to medium size projects Ability to interpret Client specification related to engineering designs Knowledge of applicable local/ international standards, statutory and regulatory specificationsKnowledge of ASHRAE, NFPA, ARI, NEMA, SMACNA, API, SHELL DEPs, UPC standards, and Client General Standards, design codes and standardsCompetent use of relevant engineering specific software, such as Auto-CAD, Microstation is mandatoryKnowledge of business application like MS Word, PowerPoint and ExcelBehavioral Skills / CompetenciesEffective Interpersonal Skills to lead, exceed internal and external stakeholders’ expectations Ability to lead effective meetings and negotiate terms to benefit of organizationAbility to work towards continuous work process improvementDeveloping and using collaborative relationships to facilitate accomplishment of work goals
