MGS India has plans to significantly ramp-up its growth over the next 18-24 months while servicing MUFG’s global network across Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific.About the Role:Position Title: AVP, Global Compliance Operations Corporate Title: AVPReporting to: Global Financial Crimes (GFC) Manager Location: BangaloreJob Profile:Purpose of Role:Reporting to the Global Financial Crimes (GFC) Manager, this position plays a key role in supporting global compliance and risk mitigation activities by conducting reviews of alerts generated during Below the Line (BTL) and Above the Line (ATL) testing for BSA / AML, OFAC, and customer risk models.The role ensures adherence to regulatory expectations across anti money laundering, international sanctions, and Bank wide OFAC Global Standards.The AVP supports execution of BTL / ATL alert reviews for the Global Operations Execution team, focusing on AML and KYC systems and applications.Main Responsibilities:Review the scope of BTL / ATL testing for AML, KYC, and Sanctions, and develop event review plans aligned to business requirements.Conduct transaction data validation and identify anomalies or potential data quality issues.Investigate and assess alerts for signs of suspicious or unusual activity related to money laundering, terrorist financing, or other illicit behavior.Escalate unusual transactions promptly and in accordance with internal guidelines.Stay current on AML and sanctions related regulatory developments, typologies, and industry best practices.Prepare clear and professional narratives for scenario testing and event reviews.Analyze, research, and respond to data requests with accuracy and timeliness.Work efficiently with large data sets and provide analytical and tactical support for assigned processes.Deliver daily, weekly, and monthly reporting as required.Maintain awareness of evolving regulatory and compliance environments and demonstrate initiative to self learn emerging topics.Collaborate with Global and Regional Financial Crime teams, ensuring alignment with operational manuals and investigative procedures.Partner with global and regional teams during alert reviews and perform quality checks on deliverables prepared by analysts.Candidate Profile:Skills and knowledge:Strong understanding of regulatory and bank compliance environments, with an ability to stay current with changing requirements.Expertise in AML domains including KYC, Transaction Monitoring, and Sanctions compliance.Experience with systems such as Actimize (AML, KYC, or Act One Case Manager) or SAS AML Case Manager is preferred.Detail oriented, process driven, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced, high volume environment.Flexibility to support global teams across time zones.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including Pivot Tables); knowledge of Python or Excel Macros is an added advantage.Strong analytical judgment and problem solving capabilities.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Education & Professional Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree or above.Experience:10–15 years overall experience in the financial services industry.Hands on experience with AML alert reviews, including Transaction Monitoring, KYC, and Sanctions across Retail and Correspondent Banking.10+ years working within financial crimes, with strong exposure to KYC and Transaction Monitoring typologies.Proven experience preparing thorough alert investigation narratives in the transaction monitoring domain.Prior experience leading teams, reviewing deliverables, and performing supervisory responsibilities.ACAMS certification is a plus.
